1-DAY WORKSHOP

DIRK DALLAS: Taking Flight: Flying & Shooting with Drones

Thursday, May 10th.  11:00am – 6:00pm

Taking Flight: Getting Started with Drone Photography & Cinematography

These days we can’t watch any TV program, film or commercial without seeing work made from drones. You no longer need to be or hire a helicopter pilot to shoot aerial photographs or motion video. Thankfully capturing aerial imagery with a drone is easier and more accessible than ever before but knowing where to start can be difficult.

In this intensive one-day class, photographer and master drone pilot Dirk Dallas will demonstrate how to fly and capture photos and videos using drones. He’ll also teach you all about the drone rules, drone dos and don’ts, and production/post-production tips and techniques to get you taking your creativity to the next level.

Dirk will also explain his preferences for which drones to fly, as well as what drones can be bought with any budget, the differences between various camera-integrated and camera attached drones (Go-Pros or small digital cameras) and more professional options.

PRICE: $410

NOTE: Samy’s Camera drone specialist Billy Malo will be on-hand to work with attendees wishing to pilot drones, and will bring a range of the latest drone gear / camera combinations for the class.
